Hello, my name is Angelynne (Ajay) Pawaan she/her/siya.

I am a Filipina actor, director, and content creator based in San Diego.

My work is dedicated to activating communities through a theatrical and artistic medium. I am passionate about works that challenge, interrogate, and defy what is comfortable and normalized. My purpose is to demystify the facade of a working artist and educate through accessibility for those who wish to pursue this career. As a result, I marry the digital ether of the internet with my professional career by documenting all of its moments.

I am a 1st Year Actor at The Old Globe and University of San Diego MFA Acting Program.

Additionally, I have begun my path towards Intimacy Direction certification through Intimacy Directors & Coordinators. As a recipient of their Level 1 and Level 2 Scholarships, I’m ecstatic to continue studying the craft of Intimacy Direction by learning how to create a safer and consensual working environment for all performers.

Lastly, HIRAYA, a devised piece is a passion project that I initiated in 2021 in order to amplify and raise awareness about the Filipina American experience. It is a filmed theatre performance designed to raise donations for the #StopAsianHate movement, as well as other API communities throughout the nation.

In my free time, I enjoy singing, playing video games, going on outdoor walks, and consuming any type of noodle dish. I am actively listening to the House of Herby podcast and have been relishing in a lot of Qveen Herby music. I also like to post on Youtube every now and then, and talk on my podcast.

To put it simply, I am a forever-curious creative who is always in-process. I often use this site as a space to hold my discoveries, struggles, and materializations in attempt to connect with the unfathomable audience that happens to be stumbling upon this digital abode.
